Our Mission
Investing in the transmission of French businesses, for the economic sovereignty of the territories.
The name
Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully (1560–1641), served as Superintendent of Finances under Henri IV. He restored France after the wars of religion by investing in the country's productive fabric — agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing. La Compagnie de Sully carries the same conviction: a country's economic sovereignty is built by supporting the businesses that produce, build and pass on their expertise across its territories.
The situation
- 500,000+ French businesses to be transmitted over the next 10 years
- 25% of SME/mid-cap leaders are over 60 years old
- Transmission capital is too often lacking: tickets too small for many funds, complex contribution financing, few specialized players
Our role

Between sellers and buyers.
Providing equity
Necessary to unlock bank financing.
Supporting development
Of the companies we back, for 4 to 5 years.
The businesses we look for
- Profitable French (and European) SMEs and mid-caps
- Revenue between €10M and €75M
- Recurring EBITDA, critical functions, territorial roots
- Productive, essential, difficult to relocate
